Privacy Policy
Last updated 23 October 2026
Short version: we store the email address you type into the sign-up box, and that is all. No analytics, no advertising tags, no third-party trackers, no cookies.
Who holds the data
FilmForrest is the data controller. Reach us at livialifes@proton.me about anything on this page.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you submit the sign-up or log-in form, along with which of the two you used and the date.
- The production stage you picked, if you chose one of the chips on the homepage before signing up. This is a word like "Post", not anything about your work.
That is the complete list.
What we do not collect
- No cookies. The site sets none, for any purpose.
- No analytics or advertising scripts, and no tracking pixels.
- No schedules or scripts. If you paste one into the site to see what Forrest makes of it, it is read, answered and dropped — never written to a database. A shooting schedule is commercially sensitive and keeping one belonging to someone who has not signed up to anything is not ours to do.
- No IP addresses stored with your sign-up.
Our host, Cloudflare, processes connection data including IP addresses in order to serve and protect the site, as any web host must. We do not store it ourselves or join it to your email address.
Why we are allowed to hold it
You gave it to us so we could contact you about FilmForrest. Under the UK GDPR that is consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Where it is kept
In a Cloudflare D1 database, created in Western Europe. Cloudflare is our processor; their own privacy terms are at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. The fonts on this page are served by Google Fonts, which your browser requests directly.
Who we share it with
Nobody. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to advertisers. If that ever changes we will ask you first, not update this page quietly.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it, or until we decide the waiting list has served its purpose — whichever comes first.
What you can ask for
- A copy of what we hold about you.
- Correction of it.
- Deletion of it.
- That we stop using it.
Email us and we will do it. There is no form and no waiting period. If you think we have handled your data badly you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
This site is for people working in film production and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.
Changes
When the product does more than collect an email address, this page will say so before that happens. The date at the top is the version you are reading.
